Our clinician visits can frequently be reimbursed as an out-of-network provider on many insurance plans. We will provide a superbill (including ICD-10 codes for diagnosis and CPT codes for services performed) that you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We recommend that you call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask them what your out-of-network coverage is since reimbursement varies depending on your individual plan.
Some labs, such as LabCorp and Quest, can bill your insurance for the tests ordered, however, CCFM cannot guarantee the amount of coverage you will get. Contact your insurance plan for more details.
At CCFM we are working hard to do a better job of streamlining and optimizing the process and hope to have a system in place soon where we can submit superbills on your behalf. Furthermore, we continue to investigate ways to bill for services like remote patient monitoring (RPM) for use and management of data from devices like the Oura ring, Apple watch, Fitbit, Garmin, etc. Medicare participants cannot use their coverage to pay for care.
If you would like assistance submitting the claim to your insurance company, we recommend using Medical Bill Gurus. They do not charge anything up front, will help ensure your claim is submitted for maximum reimbursement, and their fee is 20% of what your reimbursement is.
